MATERNITY SESSION GUIDELINES

WHEN IS A GOOD
TIME TO DO THE MATERNITY SESSION?Anytime from the 34th and
36th week generally works
out pretty well. You don't
want your stomach to be
too small and then again, it
should not be too big. It
can become quite
uncomfortable to do certain
poses and it can also become
challenging to wear certain
clothing items. For example,
lots of women like to wear
an unbuttoned pair jeans and
this is sometimes not possible
if you wait too long.


WHERE WILL THE SESSION
TAKE PLACE?
We can photograph you in
studio or in your home.
Other creative possibilities
even include outdoors in
fields and and lakes.
Anywhere really, if you have
a specific vision, let us know
and we can make it happen.

WHAT ABOUT NUDE POSES?
Everyone has a different
comfort level when it comes
to nudity. Just how much
skin you want to show is
something that will be
discussed during the planning
stage. We have a large book
with 100's of ideas at the
studio that you can go
through to help you decide
what type of vision you have
for your maternity portraits.
We take pride in our
maternity portraits and
always ensure sophisticated,
tastefull and timeless photos.
Our goal is to subtly capture
and emphasize your sensuality
in a subtly way. At no time
do we expect or want you
to do anything outside your
comfort zone. We want all
our clients to have a positive
experience.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PREGNANCY PORTRAITS?
This will be covered during
the consultation. We'll spend
time looking at ideas and
discussing what clothing
would work best for each
shot. Together we'll construct
a list of items that you can
put together for your special
day. You'll also be able to
see what we have at the
studio at your disposal. Some
of the items needed such as
wrapping materials and
carpets are available for
the session.

CAN I INCLUDE MY HUSBAND AND CHILDREN?
Of course, if you would like
your husband and children
included in some of the shot,
we will make sure to have
time set aside for those poses
as well. The session would
consist of a mix of poses of
you alone, some with just
your husband, some with
just you and your kids and
also of the whole family.

WHAT ABOUT STRETCH MARKS?
Most women have some
stretch marks to some
degree. If you don't consider
yourself a lucky individual.
During your maternity
consultation, we'll discuss
how to handle stretch marks
and to what degree you want
them photoshopped. Some
people choose to keep them
although in our experience,
most women want them
removed. We can either
remove them or simply fade
them so they are not so
prominent. The choice is
up to you.
